Shanghai Mass Transit Pearl Line
The Contact was signed in May 1999 for 168 cars ( 28 trainset 6 cars). The Metropolis mass transit vehicles were manufactured in Puzhen and became the first aluminum body-shell vehicle of its kind made locally in China. Adopting the world-class metro vehicle technologies that enables a speed of 80km per hour, these vehicles produced in Puzhen stand out among domestic made metro products by making great breakthroughs in various features including speed, comfort, quietness, safety, performance. They distinguish themselves especially in design, which has a futuristic streamlined outlook, and is dedicated in every detail to the needs of the client. These vehicles are scheduled to be delivered to Shanghai Mass Transit Pearl Line Development Co. Ltd by May 2002.
